How to use the subway for sightseeing when traveling in Seoul

1.Plan your route: Use a subway map or a transportation app to plan your route ahead of time, taking into account the nearest station to your starting point and destination.

2.Purchase a ticket: You can purchase a single-use ticket from a ticket vending machine or a T-money card from a convenience store or a subway station kiosk. The T-money card is a rechargeable card that can be used on all modes of public transportation in Seoul.

3.Enter the station: Insert your ticket into the turnstile or tap your T-money card on the card reader to enter the station. Keep the ticket or card handy as you will need it to exit the station.

4.Find your platform: Follow the signs to find the platform for your desired train line and direction. There will be electronic boards displaying the estimated arrival times of the next trains.

5.Board the train: Wait for the train to arrive and make sure to board the correct train for your destination. The train doors will automatically open and close.

6.Exit the train: Listen for the announcements and check the electronic boards to ensure you get off at the correct station. Remember to take your ticket or T-money card with you as you will need it to exit the station.
